Sky roots
" Sky roots"
We sowed no fields, but stars instead,
A single seed where none had tread.
No soil below, no rain to cry,
Just drifting roots in silent sky.
Its leaves were glass, its veins were wire,
It drank the sun, it breathed out fire.
And as it bloomed in twilight's hush,
The Earth below felt something lush.
No wind to bend it, none to break,
It danced where only comets wake.
A garden grew where none should be—
Above the clouds, above the sea.
Then whispers came in dream and thought,
From leaves with knowledge we had not.
Not speech, not song, not voice or code,
But something deep, a green forebode.
Now night is lit with glowing vine,
The stars entwined with leaf and line.
And we, below, still barely see—
We planted hope... and grew a key.
