 Mumbai Rains LIVE: Red Alert Issued, Schools Closed, Cloudburst in Nanded

Heavy rains battered Mumbai on Monday, prompting the BMC to shut all schools and colleges operating after 12 PM due to waterlogging and poor visibility. The IMD has issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad districts, forecasting extremely heavy rainfall for the next two days.

Transport services were disrupted, with several areas like Dadar, Andheri, and Kurla reporting flooding. Local trains faced delays due to waterlogged tracks.

Meanwhile, in Nanded’s Mukhed taluka, a cloudburst has left five people missing. Rescue operations are underway. Authorities are urging citizens to stay indoors and avoid non-essential travel.
